We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in obtaining a grant from the Northern Powergrid Foundation to install solar panels and battery storage facilities. This will provide increased resilience to power outages, moves to a more sustainable energy source and helps to reduce our energy costs, thereby enabling us to continue to keep hire costs at the current level.
Installation is expected during the first quarter this year.
We now have a new adjustable stage which consists of 15 x 1sq mt sections that can be erected in any configuration and stored away when not in use.
Additional cooking facilities have been installed consisting of a electric ceramic hob and 4 oven range cooker. This was funded by a grant from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Do It for East Yorkshire.

Please note that members of the public are not only welcome to attend but strongly encouraged, to see how the hall is managed, witness the appointment of trustees and perhaps consider standing themselves. Please come along to support this important asset to the village and show your appreciation for those who volunteer their time.
We currently have vacancies for a secretary and a caretaker, if you are interested come along and have a chat and see what we do.

Vacancies
Do you want to help keep this essential community facility open and available for varied user groups and events? Can you spare a few hours? We are currently looking for volunteers to undertake the roles of Caretaker and Secretary. Ideally the holders of these posts will join the committee as a charity trustee but this is not essential.

We are delighted to announce that we have now installed Audio Visual facilities in the main hall, comprising of large screen projection and multi media sound equipment. This has been made possible thanks to grant funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.

THE OUTREACH POST OFFICE HOLDS TWICE WEEKLY SESSIONS. WEDNESDAY 1:00PM UNTIL 4:00PM AND FRIDAY 9:00AM UNTIL 12 NOON.
The village hall is available for hire for regular group users; weddings; parties; charity fund raising events; dances; exhibitions and craft fairs; amateur dramatics; bingo; concerts and many others.
The Hall is licensed to accomodate up to 120 people seated at tables and we have sufficient tables, chairs, crockery, glasses and cutlery for this number.

Any organiser who wishes to advertise activities in Kilham whether in the Hall or not, are welcome to use the Village Hall website Events page free of charge. Please email: treasurerkvha21@gmail.com
Kilham Village Hall received Hallmark accreditation in August 2021 and renewed in May 2024.
