Installation of Solar Panels and Battery Storage facilities
We are delighted to announce that thanks to grant funding from the Northern Powergrid Foundation, we have installed solar panels and battery storage facilities. This will provide increased resilience to power outages, moves to a more sustainable energy source and helps to reduce our energy costs, thereby enabling us to continue to keep hire costs at the current level.
The installation of a 10.8kW solar system with 20.4kWh battery storage was undertaken by Connect Renewables Ltd of Tickton.
Vacancies
Do you want to help keep this essential community facility open and available for varied user groups and events? Can you spare a few hours? We are currently looking for volunteers to undertake the roles of Caretaker and Treasurer.
The Treasurer will be a committee role and the holder will become a trustee of the charity.
Ideally the holder of the Caretaker post will join the committee as a charity trustee but this is not essential.

We are delighted to announce that we have now installed Audio Visual facilities in the main hall, comprising of large screen projection and multi media sound equipment. This has been made possible thanks to grant funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.

THE OUTREACH POST OFFICE HOLDS TWICE WEEKLY SESSIONS. WEDNESDAY 1:00PM UNTIL 4:00PM AND FRIDAY 9:00AM UNTIL 12 NOON.
The village hall is available for hire for regular group users; weddings; parties; charity fund raising events; dances; exhibitions and craft fairs; amateur dramatics; bingo; concerts and many others.
The Hall is licensed to accomodate up to 120 people seated at tables and we have sufficient tables, chairs, crockery, glasses and cutlery for this number.

Any organiser who wishes to advertise activities in Kilham whether in the Hall or not, are welcome to use the Village Hall website Events page free of charge. Please email: treasurerkvha21@gmail.com
Kilham Village Hall received Hallmark accreditation in August 2021 and renewed in May 2024.
